Grief and Loss
I received my BS in Psychology from Michigan State University, graduating in 2002. I then attended USC and achieved my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2004.
I am a Grief Specialist and received my training through Our House Grief Support Center.
I am certified in Clinical Child Development through Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, which focused on working with children on the autistic spectrum.
I have extensive training in working with victims of Domestic Violence through Haven House in Pasadena, CA and Campion Counseling Center in Santa Monica, CA.
I am trained in EMDR, which is one of the most efficient and effective treatments for trauma and PTSD.
I am certified in Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) through the IPT Institute.
I am very passionate about working with people to help them find deeper meaning and fulfillment in their lives. I view therapy as a place where you can feel safe to openly express yourself, which will in turn help you and your relationships improve. My greatest strengths are working with individuals (pre-teen, teens and adults) who are struggling with low self esteem, relationship conflicts, transitions, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideations, and trauma. I have extensive experience in working with children and adolescents with self esteem and body image issues, ADHD, and Aspberger's, as well as adults with trauma histories and relationship issues.
